1. The Geometry of Spot-Free Linear Illumination

Diode spotting occurs when the human eye can discern discrete high-intensity points of light through a diffuser cover. Achieving a completely homogeneous 'line of light' requires the light cones from adjacent LEDs to overlap and fully blend before reaching the internal diffuser surface.
