Whitfield Gardens, London

The rejuvenation of Whitfield Gardens in central London is part of a Camden Council’s West End Project, one of largest council-led public realm and transport schemes the borough has ever seen. The redesign of the gardens was undertaken by LDA Design, and Michael Grubb Studio was responsible for the lighting design.

Areas like Whitfield Gardens are vital in bringing people into close contact with nature even in the busiest parts of the city. By using warm white light to enhance the landscape features, the gardens now provide an open and well-lit space for movement, events and socialising during the day and after dark.
