Pareidolia Lighting Installation

Exploring the concepts of movement and memory, Pareidolia is an experimental large-scale immersive installation created for Clerkenwell Design Week 2019. It is constructed from a line of 45 freestanding fins, each of which is illuminated with three integrated lighting fittings that animate and bring the installation to life.

To conceal the lighting from the viewer, the 135 Opaline M RGB light fittings act as a vertical screen that projects light away from the sculpture. It is then reflected off thin metal strips integrated into each fin to create a seamless gradient of light and colour that washes softly across the surface of the fins.
